GEBS, Bessire Gérard
Science teacher at the Collège de Delémont from 1978 to 2015 and occasionally at the ECG in Delémont. Artistic sensitization through precision scientific drawing with pencils, colored pencils, and Indian ink. Then, by widening his palette of tools to pastels and grease chalks, Gebs opens up freer horizons, less conventional, and discovers the practice of oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Inspired by his naturalist sensibility, he draws his inspiration from life sciences. His subtle work of tints and pastes, more or less greasy with the incorporation of sediments and fabrics, allows him to express structures, atmospheres, and lights in situations at first figurative than in opening towards more abstract expressions. Member of SPSJ (Société des peintres et sculpteurs jurassiens) since 2013. In the committee until 2019.
