Ars Silentium
It is important to me to raise awareness of forests that must withstand the pressure of population growth. Urbanization is encroaching on forests, fragmenting habitats, and disrupting the delicate balance of ecosystems. As more people visit forests in their leisure time, the pressure on them increases. Climate change also brings new stress factors, such as changes in precipitation patterns and the increasing frequency of extreme weather events, such as prolonged hot days in summer. Trees suffer, and the forest suffers. Invasive spreading species also pose an omnipresent threat, displacing native flora and fauna. The intricate web of forests, woven over centuries, is confronted with the looming threats of modernity and requires strategic conservation measures to preserve its biodiversity and ecological integrity. My work is intended to inspire and stimulate.
